TacMed K9 Tourniquet

The K9 Tourniquet has been engineered to work effectively on tapered anatomy, such as the leg of a K9, and is designed to be placed high on the limb. It has integrated traction technology that prevents the dog tourniquet from slipping down the animal’s leg, which would result in a loss of compression. The slippage can be amplified when the animal is moved during extrication. Slippage is a common occurrence when tourniquets or pressure dressings designed for humans are used on such tapered anatomy. Flat Fold Emergency Trauma Dressing

The Flat Emergency Trauma Dressing (ETD®) series of bandages provide an effective, constant pressure bandage used for the treatment of wounds to control bleeding. The Flat ETD® is packaged in a low cube space, flat folded configuration to reduce its diameter and footprint in kits. It consists of a resilient elastic wrap equipped with a sterile non-adherent pad, durable securing device and innovative Quick-Grip™ Roll Control configuration. Esmark Bandage w/ ABD Pad

The Esmark Bandage is a latex-free elastic bandage that is ideally suited for reinforcing pressure bandages. It packs small enough to fit in the Uniformed Medical Kit’s outer pouches, and when coupled with a hemostatic bandage, it can be quite effective in achieving hemorrhage control. North American Rescue’s Wound Packing Gauze is a compact, easy to use, Z-folded gauze designed for both linear wound packing and basic bandaging. NAR’s Wound Packing Gauze can be used to control hemorrhage when applying direct pressure utilizing wound packing techniques, in conjunction with a compression bandage, as backing gauze for hemostatic dressings, or for minor wound bandaging. Its low cube space requirement and rugged, durable vacuum sealed packaging make it easy to fit in both individual first aid kits and medic kits.
