Katie Timmons is the founder and lead instructor for Every Drop Counts. Her passion for educating the community combined with her knowledge and experience working in EMS, has led her to create Every Drop Counts. Looking back on the years she spent training to become a paramedic, she recalls the medium to high fidelity simulated scenarios being her best learning tools and she is brining that type of high-quality hands-on training to the public with her Stop the Bleed classes. 

As a mother of three, Katie is also passionate about educating kids and is developing a curriculum specifically for school aged children to learn basic first aid and bleeding control. 

Katie has worked as a firefighter paramedic as well as an educator for the past several years. She holds a degree in prehospital emergency medicine and is a National Association of EMS Educators level 2 instructor. She holds her Nevada EMS instructor endorsement as well as being a certified instructor through American Heart Association (AHA), National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), and DoD STOP THE BLEED.
